Join us for a Lunch N' Learn event on Monday, March 20th, 2023, where we will discuss civic engagement with Food In Communities (FIC). FIC is a regional collaborative working to increase equitable access to healthy, affordable, and culturally important foods through food policies, systems, and environmental changes. The intent of FIC is to collectively cultivate and sustain neighborhood and regional-level changes that support community-driven priorities and build capacity among community leaders and food policy councils to strengthen the local and regional food system.
During this event, we will discuss how civic engagement can positively impact communities and how food can play a role in bringing people together. We will also hear from a guest speaker from Food In Communities who will share their experiences working with communities across the county.
Catering will be provided by RiceBoxx Denver, a catering chef couple that specializes in Khmer and Filipino cuisine. You won't want to miss this opportunity to learn about civic engagement and enjoy a delicious lunch!
